For many families facing issues related to mental health or substance abuse, it can feel like there is no hope. Finding help, however, often can lead to hope. And help is out there.
In St. Louis County, Missouri, the Children’s Service Fund is a community service fund to provide mental health and substance abuse services for children and youth ages nineteen and under. Here, Jean Sokora from Preferred Family Healthcare and C.J. Strohm from Bridgeway Behavioral Health discuss what funding from the Children’s Service Fund means to youth in St. Louis County, how agencies work together, and how the support they offer has increased since receiving funding from the Children’s Service Fund.
