Event Details
Many factors can put the mental well-being of young people at risk. In the St. Louis area, the biggest risk factors are homelessness, addiction, abuse and neglect.
The Nine Network of Public Media and 13 agencies supported by the St. Louis County Children’s Service Fund have joined forces to create better understanding of mental health issues and to increase utilization of services that are free and available for young people and their families. Services are available for young people up to 21.
The topics of the Youth at Risk Town Hall will focus on risk factors, the stigmas associated with mental health issues, and what our community can do to help connect young people with the services they need.
The Youth at Risk Town Hall will be moderated by Nine Network Producer Jim Kirchherr and will include a panel of three and a studio audience of approximately 150.
